Rescue And Treatment
Janice’s Trust runs a rescue service covering Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar and Wai. We rescue animals in need including cows, donkeys, horses and ponies, dogs, cats, snakes and other wildlife.
The animals we rescue are brought back to our shelter for treatment by our resident animal caregiver Gautam Kathare, or for surgery we call on experienced veterinary surgeon Dr. Shridhar Budhe of the NGO Vets For Animals.
Following care at the shelter, healthy individuals capable of sustaining themselves are released back to the location they were taken from. Any animals who we judge to be unfit for release find a forever home at Janice’s Trust.
